New Wave Cat's build aluminium vessels and specialize in the construction of high performance aluminium catamarans. We build to the USL Code Standard or international class (eg Lloyds Register) as required by our owners. We offer high quality workmanship carried out by experienced tradesmen who has the backed of a dedicated design team to ensure the owners requirements are met.
New Wave Catamarans have the facilities to manage large and small modifications and refits to vessels.
In September 2007 Quick Cat had a refit by New Wave which included extension of the hulls, both decks and the addition of a sundeck to the top of the flybridge. The Flybridge was strengthened to carry the passengers. See top photo at right. These changes allowed for an increase in passenger numbers from 80 to 100 and increased the available viewing space for passengers dramatically.
This vessel was built in 2003 by New Wave and the owners were very happy with the stability and economy of Quick Cat. However they needed extra capacity due to the success of the business. Rather than going to the expense of a larger vessel they had CMCS design the modifications to survey and New Wave completed the job in six weeks.

New Wave Cat's in conjunction with CMCS have taken the kit boat to the next level with the supply of three kit hulls to Wang Tak Engineering and Shipyard in Hong Kong. Three 40" containers containing all the pre-fabricated hull components for the 28 Metre Catamaran hulls were supplied, and shipped to there shipyard in China. On arrival NWC staff assisted with the standing of the frames and CMCS provided on site project management for the hull construction, the vessels are now well under construction, to be finished off and operated in Hong Kong.
